you know.. been using the gems from those generous souls for a while - it's Christmas - my conscience says how can i give some ruby love back (having no ruby skills..)

so here's my little Christmas contribution.. a set of free plugins (many times checked but let me know if) from the masters, tweaked during a long time to fit my personal contextual requirements. however, you might find it just as good for you - so try and see if you like it: (you will need winrar or a program that can also extract rar files)

http://www.quarr-it.com (click on 'links' > 'resource pool')

    1. BACKUP you SU 'plugins' and 'tools' folders
    2. delete the SU 'plugins' folder and replace it with the one from the 'rubymenus 6'
    3. drop the contents of the rubymenus 'tools' folder into the SU 'tools' folder - overwriting all files

that's it, when you start SU you will find your plugins menu in a good mood

    • note: i have done this on a pc - i just presume it will work on macs
    • note: changed some icons and removed a couple of functions from few scripts

also i removed all documentations to keep the file down

mirror will not ask to erase original object
    some layer manager functions disabled
    some projections functions disabled

    i've included the latest scripts

i want to use the opportunity to say THANK YOU! to everyone and..
    HAPPY FESTIVE SEASON AND PEACE..

I am just getting into SU more and more, and found this Ruby to be sensational, being a bit of a neat freak it really suited me,
          I do have a question.
Can rubies be added to the menu's ? to keep it nice and tidy.
for example, I have the doormaker.rb script,
I copied it to the ARCH folder but when I re opened SU it wasn't there.
Did I do something wrong ? or isn't this an option.
          Thanks for a great script.

Just do it, it might be fun.

            Have fun...

              Does OT mean Off Topic?
If so how does one ask question about Ruby scripts in this forum?

I had the "makedoor.rb" in the Plugins folder, but was just wondering if it and other scripts could be put in one of the folders to keep the folder tidy.

Just do it, it might be fun.

                Yes, OT = Off Topic.
If you have a look at the topmost (sticky) topic here, in the ruby depot, it asks people not to discuss general ruby things here. That's the Ruby discussions forum where you can do this.
In addition, this thread is about another, specific ruby script. Don't take me wrong - if you are unaware of these things, I'm here to help and explain.

Well, back to the "OT-topic" πŸ˜„
No. The Plugins folder is the place for additional ruby scripts. There is a ruby somewhere that can organise your rubies into a menu system but I can't find it anywhere. I might report back if I get it (or someone drops in and points you to the right direction).

Philem, just updated the script to include doormaker

for info, you cannot just drag and drop in the folder - (i wish) but if you look at the scripts in notepad you will often find the menu items at the bottom.

anyway, thanks for letting me know of the script - how could it escape? πŸ˜•

Gaeius, i guess it's ok to get the feedback in this thread so i can add/change the script accordingly? - it would still be downloaded from the top of this thread as the depository..

                    Yes, I know... That's why I didn't want to be a "strict a***"
It's just sometimes you don't know where to find the discussions about a script; here or in the discussion forum. πŸ˜’

Edit This script is a great one, by the way... πŸ˜›

No need for apologies - actually you were right. I kid of misunderstood your question regarding the topic itself. I thought you were asking this in general about ruby scripts but am starting to find out that I was wrong...

Gaeius, just to go completely off topic! πŸ˜„ if we keep the download always at the top, having follow up discussions in the thread itself seems just right...

that way you do not need to monitor too much and the thread can go quite long without losing its aim

Sure... I wouldn't even have said anything ifI hadn't thought it was OT regarding your thread.
That's what I ment in my lates post above. I was wrong...
