Very cool. Its amazing how similar it is to Jeff Han's Perceptive Pixel work. My first thought was Microsoft must have licenced Jeff Han's technology but in looking at the Microsoft pages that doesn't seem to be the case. (Looks like a lawsuit eh?).
Anyways -- I'd love to have one. Imagine the possibilities for digital painting and rendering work! Also looks like it would be a great presentation tool. I can imagine every architect wanting one.

I have been dreaming of an interface like this ever since I got my little paws onto computers, that is way back in 1986, had a ZX Spectrum back then... Still have it somewhere, I think I'll have it mounted and use it as artwork.

I wonder if anyone ever tried to use SU with a touch screen or tablet pc?
My first memory of touch screen technology wasn't very good at all. The local library tried to replace the cards and drawers by touch screen computers. The software was OK but the screens weren't very responsive. The more people hammered their fingers on it, the less responsive they became... and the dirtier they got.
