Is there a script that lets you draw an arrow-line from one object to another and have that line maintain the connections where ever the objects are moved or arranged?

It would be similar to taking the Text Notation tool. Instead of having one end point to the object, and the other float above with a text box however, the other end whould attach to another object.

The reason I don't want to use an actual geometry line is that you can't color it. You can color the Text Notation lines, however. This lets you have a variety of connection lines.

    Thoughts?

You can color actual geometry lines (edges) by selecting "By Material" on Window > Styles > Edit > Edge, and then using the Bucket tool to apply the color of your choice.

An observer script could be written to "link" objects to accomplish this.
