s4u Offset
Multiple Offset Selected Edges or Faces. Offset both side.Random Offset.
Shortcut:
Alt (Control on Mac) > Create Offset
Tab > Toggle : Side - Both Side
Select edges(or faces) and Double-clicking on the screen for offset automatically
with previous value.

@1.42 in your video you offset on curved surface in a 'united mode'. I can't reproduce this behavior.
It offsets on EVERY minor face. -
You Turn off Hidden Geometry in the menu View - Hidden Geometry.

yet another thing: after offset (on faces) is done the 'frame' faces need to stay selected.
Currently faces selected randomly.
