Wrist & Elbow Problems
-
Too much sports & 3D sketching in bad position has made elbow, wrist, finger problems for me. I wonder what is a correct elbow / wrist position?
I found a exercise which helps a lot and now done with two hands I call it "A Bat From Wuhan" (this hard time & how you look when doing it). http://www.healthline.com/health/fitness-exercise/cubital-tunnel-syndrome-exercises#6 Exercise number 4 on the page.
Already I have recovered a lot from the "numbness" and lately I've been doing light woodworking projects and "left handed" video editing:

Thanks for posting this.
My answer has been use my fingers more and wrist less. I have my mouse acceleration so high that others cannot use it and stay on screen. Usually my wrist stays still, arm relaxed.
Somewhere along the way I had neck and shoulder issues. Exercises from the chiropractor and crossfit trainer worked for this, but it took time. For the shoulder the best exercise was paddling I think (polynesian style) .

I will try to adjust at least the mouse scroll wheel; faster... Scrolling feels now most irritating. -
Not sure if you saw this thread, but if not it might be worth a read for you:

It addresses RSI issues with a change in input devices: combining a 3D mouse with a Wacom tablet. There are many ways this eases stresses on the wrist and elbow: one of them is that I never need to use the mouse wheel to scroll, because all the navigation is done with the 3D mouse.
It's definitely not a cost-free solution, but it's a great option and a productive (and fun!) way to work in SU.

I have here one cheap drawing tablet. First try: I don't know if this is easier or clumsier. This thing with SU needs some practising. Perhaps the cursor speed which I use with Inkscape is too slow.

I'm not sure what options your tablet driver offers, but with Wacom's you can use the tablet in either 'Pen' or 'Mouse' mode. I find Pen mode unusable because it's so slow: it's meant for pixel-level editing and drawing, so not suitable for mouse replacement.
If your tablet doesn't offer a mouse mode, then try boosting the speed/acceleration to max.
