Still shaking off the rust. With the return of vinyl records thought I'd model this stereo stand. Inspired by a vintage mid mod piece I saw online. Exploded SU view and a render. Happy holidays everyone !

Sweet! Is the top longer than the bottom of the case? How are you going to cut the dovetails?

David and Dave , thanks guys. Your right Dave the sides of the case angle out slightly. The dovetails are easy with solid tools
. Have seen Tage Frid and other woodworking masters do dovetails on all kinds of angles. If dovetails aren't workable real world the top and bottom could be run out flush to the sides and dowels used like James Krenov Liked to do on his casework. -
Dovetails would certainly be do-able. Not sure they are particularly mid-century, though. Dowels would be more period-appropriate. You could miter the corners so you don't have exposed end grain and then use a spline to strengthen the joint.
