Messing about some more. T.V. / entertainment stand. Drawers sized to fit DVD's. If I can find the time would actually like to build this for myself. Might tweak details of the design some before it get's built.
Posting two pic's , one rendered in Twilight , minor post pro inside Twilight. The other a raw SU image with a line overlay and some tweaking in Gimp.
Pulled drawers out on the raw image to show I really did model most of the details on this one. Only thing I left out was the full extension drawer slides the piece would have in real world.

On such a nice piece β€” with dovetailed drawers β€” wouldn't undermount slides be a better option than (side-mount) full-extension?

db11 , You have a valid point. Will need to research slides that are available now to see options. Last time I bought slides for a project was a good while ago. Most under mounts available then didn't have very high weight capacities. I'm sure the design will go through numerous revisions until I actually have the time to make it.

Undermounts are available today with significant load ratings (100lb/45kg and 150lb/68kg), so that shouldn't be a problem - e.g. Blum Tandem, Salice, and others. Be advised, though, that they require clearance under the drawer bottom which will affect the drawer height required to fit CD cases inside the drawer.

slbaumgartner , thanks for the heads up about the drawer slides. I don't want to admit how many years it's been since I've really looked at what's available.
