Most furniture from the 70s seems dated to me but I like this desk.

        Nice work, as usual.
Couple of questions: Are there through dovetails on the drawer fronts? Is the writing surface three frame-and-panel pieces? No large drawer below the writing surface? Or just no hardware?

          Thank you, gentlemen.

          David,

The joinery on the drawers as well as on the corners of the case are box joints, not dovetails. The desk top is divided into three frames and panels which are all hinged at the back edge. The interior is divided into three sections with pencil trays on the sides. The center section panel is covered with leather.

I still need to draw the hinges

Mysteries solved. The hinged top sections are a nice detail.

I like the hinged sections, too, but they probably wouldn't work so well for me. My desk is always cluttered with stuff. I'd never be able to get into it. 😄

              I added some textures.
