          That would be cool. I tried it with some logs and got some funny results. Though they didn't seem like wood falling, more like rubber.

              Here a quick nail emitter. You have to install SketchyPhysics before. Not a new thing but always funny. Pause Physics on the desired position an save the SketchUp file as a copy an you will get the pile of nail.

                      Experiment with indigo renderer (focal point, aperture).
                      Motion blur with copies and different transparency.
