Relax. It's Labor Day.

I did a quick model of an easy chair in honor of the U.S. Labor Day holiday. Alvar Aalto, a very influential Finnish designer, created the original, which was built in 1937. The frame is bent birch; the seat and back are upholstered in gray wool.Aalto also designed a beautiful small table with a round top and bent wood legs, which would look just right next to the chair, holding a nice tall adult beverage. I believe the table is in the permanent design collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art.
