New Dubai Dream Home 2014 Pictures
-
This is the Dubai Dream Home 2014 with it's kitchen finally completed, renders are from Lumion, home modeled in sketchup.
I will be adding a full video walk through in a couple of days on youtube.
lumion to me is the best real-time renderer. Cars are not model by me just their render settings.
Hope you like it.
I am already working on the next house with a completely different style more less a modern minimal design.
A updated model of the home can be downloaded at the Sketchup 3D warehouse by searching for (UPDATED)Dubai Dream Home 2014 With Interior or at this link: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=ue8f8591a-40a1-4fd5-94bc-ceedd0e47aec

Great work and progress in learning so fast, using organic forms and all. Nice to see someone using Kerky. I use it sometimes. Good luck.

Thanks pbacot, it took about a month on the design to get the house to the point it is now. When I look at what people are creating with sketchup and how good their work is I see I have so much to learn and I look forward to it.

Cool design and nice interior renders.

Thanks Bryan K, I appreciate it, I did check out your models and renders, wow! very good work, did you use sketchup to model all of your models? If so what plugins and tools did you use for the details on the vehicle and the camera, and on the couch with the mesh showing?

Thanks.
The couch was just a render test using models from the warehouse.
The camera and vehicle were completely modeled by me and it is 100% SketchUp. As far as I can remember, I didn't use any special plug-ins. Lots of arrays, push pulls, arc, offset, and basic geometry, and follow me. (and cursing )
Once in a while I will use Joint Push Pull. Very handy for thickening curved surfaces.
I do have a quite a few plug-ins, but it seems I barely use them. Believe it or not, I'm still learning SketchUp and I find that SU has a lot of versatility right out of the box.
Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing more posts from you!

I enjoyed exploring the design Aaron.
Its defenately a 'dream house' but I imagine a bit of a nightmare to build. However well worth the effort
Please keep us updated on progress.

Thanks for liking the home Mike, I have had a rough time with modeling it that's for sure. I am just about done with the entire design I have been creating the pool and decks and fine tuning some things so I can create the final renders. I will post the pics soon.
Thanks again
Aaron

Oh ok Brian K its very good work and your cursing paid off haha. I am thinking of trying the Vertex Tools to try to have more control with the organic forms I am trying to create. I do agree sketchup is great even without plugins, in fact the very first organic roof shape I tried in sketchup waswith its basic tool set.
My sketchUcation continues I love it!
