@unknownuser said:  I take it upgrading parts isn't an option? I tried doing that with my old Mac Pro some time back. Long story short: couldn't get the parts. I bought a PC instead. Mac: nay! PC: yay! No, it's an imac and all I could do was upgrade ram which I've done. I love simplicity of mac and the fact I've had this for 6 years without many issues. It just works. I looked at building a PC and it works out Β£2000 for a sweet 6 core setup versus Β£2500 for a quad core imac. On paper the PC is much better pound for pound but the mac is simple, easy and clutter-free. Decisions, decisions. Sorry to go off-topic, I will have to make another thread when I come to decide which direction to take. Thanks for your input and keep it up!

I like the direction on the style is going, but some odd internal refractions are visible, maybe interior is solid glass? Use "thin glass" with windows? Maybe a bit too much AO shadows below it or is it just how model is illuminated...

Yep, needs more work. In all sorts of manners.

@olishea said: Sorry to go off-topic (...) Quite allright, really. My two cents: yes, Macs, 'just work'. They're sleek and they're cool -I like 'em. They're also overpriced. Which, in my opinion, is especially problematic with regards to workstations. Because those need upgrading, once in a while. More RAM, new GPU, et cetera. If you want to buy a new part for your Mac workstation, you're going to pay through the nose -whilst there's far less choice than for the PC. Certainly when your Mac's a few years old. I got a PC and an iMac. PC's for work, iMac's for entertainment. Best of both worlds, as far as I'm concerned.

Mate I'm never anything but completely in awe of your artistic abilities!!! Seriously mate your eye is definitely attached the brain!

 Thanks, Richard.

BTW mate, here is one that might spark your interest. Sydney's AMP centre (foreground) - a fairly renown landmark due to it's huge cantilevered crown and subtly curved facade. Very reminiscent of the style you seem to favor.
-
 Thanks! Didn't know that one.

I should've gone easy on the PS blur, but otherwise I think this has promise. Could any of the mods move this thread to the WIP section? It ought to be, I think.
