Web site implies it will not work with Tremble Sketchup.

        Darn.

The extension should be updated to SketchUp 2013 in the next couple weeks.

Ok, to be brutal, I stay away from plugins that uses an "exe" file to install. Also, as far as I can see you need to download Sketchup 8 to get the plugin. I can't find a download option of just the plugin.

As easy it is to install a plugin, and as easy it is to make a web page that is clear, I just find this plugin to be darn hard to find and to install.

Hope you get your act together.

            Ken

Yes, I am aware that I was rude.

Depends on user permissions, the plugin has trouble creating local data files, so some tweaking is needed for 2013. The EXE was created for users back when installing a plugin in SketchUp wasn't so easy. But Ken is right using an EXE is now not a good way to install plugins, the plugin hasn't seen much development since it was originally created for idrawnics, however an update to an .RBZ is overdue. As for the website, that one is out of my hands.

The iDrawnics.com site has been updated and the plugin works with Sketchup 2013 and later. The iDrawnics plugin is free and no longer has a time limit. Components that work with the plugin are offered in the iDrawnics Store. There is a free practice kit as well.

iDrawnics is designed for the mechanical contractor who doesn't have or need a high end 3D CAD program and doesn't have the time to master one. Currently it is targeted at residential and small commercial mechanical rooms but will be expanded.

A DIY package will soon be available for those who want to create there own components and apply the iDrawnics features. There will also be an opportunity for users to submit their iDrawnics enabled drawings for inclusion in the iDrawnics Store with revenue sharing.

It's free like a razor is free: buying the components at $4 - $9 each will add up very quickly. 😎

This will make things much more attractive.

In any event, this sure beats 3skeng's hefty yearly "rental" fees for the components.
