Just a matter of time until they print an AR 15 or similar, why stop there, why not print a rocket launcher, I mean everyone needs one of them right?

lol, you Texans

The engineering that went into making that is impressive, but I shudder at the cost. DMLS is not cheap - I bet that gun cost as much as a luxury car.
...and yeah, anyone else notice that both this and the first 3D printed plastic 'gun' were made in Texas?

Oh yeah, this is one crazy Gun, greed and god loving state (in that order) I honestly do not know a single white male over the age of 18 that does not have one or more guns, I am the only person in a large group of friends to be gunless (by choice) and for that I'm labeled a gun hating commie (a title I wear with pride).

A gang in Manchester, UK has been caught with 3D printing equipment to produce guns. Looks like everyone's doing it!

Jeez they really do love the hype don't they!! To be honest I couldn't imagine a gang sourcing a sketchup monkey to model some guns!

I doubt a gang would take the time and effort to do it either as it will be easier to buy it from a black market dealer who will probably get the plans off the internet free anyway, and I also very much doubt it would be SU based plans, more solid works or Catia based.

lol I know. I worked this out the second I tried 3D printing a "smooth" SU model....it came out completely faceted so I turned to MOI3D which I still haven't learnt!
