Recommend a plugin?

sorry to be nuisance but i'm looking for plugin that does the following:
Adds detail, like Sandbox, only to all selected faces.
I need a plugin that will add complexity to my model, a bit like Mudbox does.
So that when I later import it into another app to perform vertex painting, i'll have plenty of verts to paint.can anybody recommend something?
I find Sandbox->add detail doesn't do anything to my model..
