This plugin is a simple exporter that can export Sketchup models to DirectX .X, Ogre3d .mesh.xml or WaveFront .Obj file formats.
It's intended to be used on small models. On very big models exporting can take a very long time, and possibly fail. Bug reports are welcome.

      It's tested on SketchUp 8.0

Thanks, Zbyl, though I have no idea what that Ogre3D mesh is (yet - I promise I will look it up) - just saying thanks as I see there were 40+ downloads but no feedback yet.

          Hi Zbyl,

Thanks a lot for this plugin.

But I have a question. I tried export my model in many ways (with or without UV help, alternative coord. etc..) But in no case I got the correct model. Here belongs that I export in direct X - .x file, and the textures are messed up all the times.

Is there any help? or plugin update? Thank you!

PS: And the second note is this: The plugin doesn't work for model opened from directories which have in the name comma, or other non standard symbols. (My folder is called C:/3d models/cd749, 721/model.skp
So I have been searching the fault for the long time to realize that the comma in the folder name is the problem. So already solved, I changed the folder name. (Yes this is the minority, but the first issue I would like to fix)

Exporting texture coordinates from SketchUp is tricky. There are other exporters you can try - I've seen some that do it right.
Unfortunately I don't have time to fix this.
Fixing the comma problem would be easier, but at the moment I can't promise anything...
Subscribe to this thread. If I'll find time to improve this exporter I'll post an update here.
