Hello all
first time poster here
forgive me if this is the wrong section of the forumi have been using sketchup for about 4-5 years now but have never entered hi poly territory,
most likely because my computer couldn't handle it.
i have always been a fan of Grand Theft Auto style modeling, low poly but not too low.
enough talk, PICTURES!

Yeah cars!! Except... do I need to brighten my display? I feel like I'm missing some detail because of the low light. Could be me.
Points for including a pic with doors/hatch open. I'm modeling my first car as we speak, so I'd be interested in seeing more of this if you've got the pics.

I owned one of these. Couldn't get the wheel alignment right.
All over the road. Went through tires like butter. -
more pictures you say?
they guys here that do make cars blow these simpler models out of the water
as you can see from the wireframe its not the most complex model in the world
comments and criticism is always welcome
i am using Vray to render and i think my settings are alright i dont play with them much i just made one file tat i use for all my renders the only time it messes up is when rendering interiors

Excellent, thanks for the additional pics!
I'd say if you were going for the low poly GTA look, you nailed it. My criticisms would involve the model and rendering in regard to realism, but it doesn't sound like that's what you were going for. If anything, I would suggest playing around with render settings if it interests you. My rendering skills lag my modeling skills (and that's saying something), but I'm trying to catch up. Otherwise it's like hanging a beautiful piece of art in a huge gallery and lighting it with a flashlight.
Thanks for posting this!

Could look great in Live For Speed or if you plan to raise the number of poly's could be used as a mod in NFS from Carbon up. On the other hand, the model looks pretty good started from scratch. Try to do some studio renders, it would enlighten the shapes and bring more details in attention.

Looking good.
My only criticism would be that the "engine" looks more like a couple of suitcases. If you are going to show the engine it needs some more details, not a lot, just enuf to make it look more realistic.

thanks for the feedback, i know i should work on the engine, i started making some generic looking ones for future models (I4 F4 I6 V6 V8 F12 V12) in terms of the render, i would like it too look a bet more realistic any help would be appreciated
