New Sketchup Artist webpage

I have now inspected your preset and tested it. To be honest I was secretly hoping that you found something that I missed in hours of (days) testing and tweaking.
I am afraid it did not perform well at all. It is slower than all of our presets and it is showing same or more "leaks". Now without going into depth of it, adding higher AA and throwing larger number of rays is not right way forward.
I took scene which has shown leaks in past and tested it with 3 presets. The scene, on purpose, have some reversed faces and all test were done with same lighting and same settings both AA and quality at 100%. The scene was tested on the same old duo computer and all renders were rendered to size of 1024X768. AllRenders shown are raw.The first render is with your preset. It took longest time to render. It took 7 min. and 17sec.
The second render was done with our Default preset. It took 4min. and 23 second.
Our default was faster for 40% and it showed similar number of leaks and in less prominent position.
The third test is with preset I have been working on for some time. It is leak proof but sometimes has other problem and it is not ready for release.
It rendered in 7min and 1 sec, which was slightly faster than yours. As I said before no preset shows leaks when rendered with GI only ever.
On the other note in your tut you seem to appropriate my way of rendering clay together with Zem’s way. It would have been nice if you acknowledged that in your tut somehow.
Anyway, thanks for showing an interest in Podium and if you have some ideas you can always email me or contact me on the Podium forum. As I said before please do not take this wrong way .Cheers

thanx dear Sepo , for reply and informing me
my aim was finer edge and shadow , so started from a preset called "default ultrafine shadow" from podium forum , and also tweaked it to have softer shadows and better edges (photon number and AA ) and as u may observe the result it reaches the aim. (less dark dots at shadows and also softer edges than default preset- that is obvoius at renders above)
also your X beta rocks!!!! very nice shadows and soft edges with no leaks congrats.
and it would be nice if you test this one plz :
tweakin ambient
about the e-mail, I've tried to PM you from the podium forum , but it doesnt let me ( as a noob i guess), BTW the Idea i was going to share is easy and maybe you've rached it befor, it is : adding an slider beside each light so that easily it could be adjusted.
I mean using DC in su 7 we could add an slider ( that is linked to the emitter group inside the light component) so that when we change the slider , the size of emiter group is changed while the group is hide and also the slider itself is hide and we could reach it just using DC tool, so that it prevents confusing the scene). also the slider can shows the light power in Watts i.e. ....and the light color....
by now you are adding a fake part , a bit far from real light source that is not correct , and is a bit confusing , and i think my idea maybe results better realastic lights.

No problem mate.... you can email me to sepo100 at googlemail dot com. I will try your AO...I have AO preset version myself as well so maybe there is something I can learn from yours.
If you have sample of your DC which works it would be great. -
dear Sepo I am nither an KT master nor Podium, but this AO is for a while ago (I think I borrowed it from KT presets), none of KT biased preset are free from leaks (except if have solid models - not just a face ).
about the DC , that is just an idea , but it's raw start could be found maybe here :
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=20363
I've replaced the group geometry with only some dots, that prevents confusing geometry... maybe it can inspires you, mate
