Nice! (Nice!)
May i ask why you did use corel painter?
I prefer corel draw to illustrator, but i didn't find corel painter very handy- at least compared with sketchbook pro (autodesk).
I expect, you draw the watercolor-effects in painter- but why not in photoshop itself?
Probably corel painter is merging colors watercolor-like when you draw different colors over others? -
Hi, Landie:
These are beautiful scenes and design concept. In what part of the world might this be found? -
Although NPR it sure relays the concept, and does it very well.
These large sites are sometimes hard to express, but you really pulled it off.
Is this all actually modeled -
Beautiful and fantastic. Great renderings. Fun for those who want their own island (or dock shack)--ecology aside.
Is this whole scene modeled in SU? Or assembled in kerkythea? If you will what is the reason for kerkythea then Thea?
Thanks for sharing this,
Peter -
Hi, Landie:
I was curious if this was a real location and whether that was a major ocean or a relatively calm sea, or bay. I was thinking those islands would need regular maintenance to continue to exist. And ecology would indeed be a major concern in many locations. -
Landie, you have done a superb job. I absolutely love that second image but all 3 are fantastic.
I think you achieved exactly what you set out to do. -
Landie
Mate like DaveR you're a master at the NPR!! I'm finding these ones though maybe a bit lacking contrast to read the different elements of the development.
On a side note and please understand - nothing to do with your work, but I had hoped in 2012 these type of "in Ocean" type developments had disappeared. It's a bit sad to see in a way!

Cheers cadmunkey (fellow yorkshireman) and Richard. Are there any topics on terrain modelling you can point me too ?

Thanks Mike. You should post some of your work. As SketchUp goes you do some epic stuff and certainly make it work to its best for Architecture.
