Tidy View PDF reader
-
Recently got a new laptop and decided there was no way I was installing the monstrous resource hog that is known as Adobe Reader on it. Tidy View does exactly what it says on the box. Windows only.

Does it also "read" (~present) 3D pdf files?
-
Not sure, but most "light-weight" pdf viewers leave such extensive features out (like video, scripting, interactive animation etc., although 3d is a nice feature nice for us modelers). Adobe's pdf has 3d since pdf version 1.6/1.7, but I couldn't find if it's also in the pdf standard.

Nope, it doesn't read 3D files...or rather it opens them, complete with control interface, but as a non-functional image.
TBH 3D PDF is not something I have a great need for, but I can understand those who do. -
I do not use them too much myself but after all, we are on these forums and sometimes I need them.
-
i like to use Foxit PDF reader, but not sure about 3D in that either.

I tried that one a while ago and it did not do 3D. True that 3D PDF was quite new back then and it was almost obvious that nothing but Adobe supported it.

PDF-XChange Viewer
might be interesting for those who want more features from a lightweight PDF reader.
