Converted drawing to component style
-
Good start but it still needs work.
A number of faces are reversed, the legs should be instances of the same component. The edge boards on the top should be components separate from the rest of the top and the iron parts of the vise should be separate from the chop. The screws should be separate from the mounting hardware, the cross dowels for the bench bolts should not be part of the stretcher components, the bench should be moved up so it is standing on the ground plane (red and green axes define that.) If you're going to use woodgrain materials, they should be better or at least edit the size of the ones you applied.
Keep plugging away and you'll get it.

Quoted from your PM to me: "Please keep you comments to yourself from now on. I have placed you on the foe list."
My apologies for trying to offer you some constructive advice.

None of my remarks to you were meant to be negative. I tried to apologize. Since you've placed me on your "foe list", I couldn't respond to you in a PM.

Hey TG,
I think Dave R was trying to offer constructive criticism. From what I've seen in Dave's previous posts on this forum, he is a talented woodworker as well as a knowledgeable and helpful SU expert. You might try to give him a break and reconsider this... he was only trying to help out.

I sent you a PM so that everyone didn't have to see how you act. Now it shows. From your first post to me to now its been NOTHING but negitive, but seeing you for what you are.
This is crazy, TG, but definitely your choice to put anyone on the foe list.
As a beginner, however, I'd've been extremely happy to receive such great and helpful suggestions (even if I'm totally ignorant whom I'm receiving them from - not to speak about Dave).

No you sent him a PM to hide how YOU act. He posted your PM to expose you as a sensitive prissy little git, do not expect anyone else to provide you with any feedback to improve your models in the future.
Add me to your foe list.... please.

...you should see how he started out by attacking me BEFORE these posts.
I didn't attack you. I said that Mr. Langs' request that models be drawn with groups and components seems reasonable. I don't know why you would construe that as an attack on you. Hazza hasn't attacked anyone either.

Good thing this "boy" has got a "SawStop". He's gonna need it........
This IS the best forum I've ever been on.....! Quick responses, good answers, helpful, and good positive criticism.
We all should have tougher skin at times,,, especially being a "beginner" at some things....
