Shapefile Exporter?
-
Anyone know if a Shapefile (.shp) exporter script for SketchUp has been (or could be) created ?
-
there's a lot of eps to shapefile converters and some kml to shapefile... is that not an option? john
ps. I've been looking into eps for mac scale printing...

The application that we'd like to import SU geometry into requires shapefile format.
Since SU exports to KMZ and the KMZ contains a dae file, wouldn't we really need a dae to shapefile conversion?
-
possibly,
Today, I was looking at what I could do with the "Export 2D Graphic" option *.eps as it's a scalable vector format. and had noticed eps to .shp file convertors in my search.
I also took a mental note of that KMZ was a companion format on some of the windoze convertors.so when you posted, I just thought I'd pass it on.
I'm looking for an openStreetMap into SU path, and a more accurate easy 'scale print' mac solution.

That was made a long time ago by Google, maybe even @Last:
Scroll down to "ArcGIS for SketchUp 6 (beta)", pretty close to the bottom. That should have a shp file exporter in it.

I don't believe it works anymore with current ISRI apps. See note on the web page about SU6.
