Create a grid lines X by Y plugin

Hi all
Does anyone know of a plugin that can slice up a face into square grid/ polygons.\
Need to create a chess board kind of pattern but with alot more split square faces

Hatchfaces will create edges you can explode on a face. I'm working on the next version, which hopefully will cope with this sort of thing. Pattern based tiling.
Meanwhile you could also use Sdmitch component array
and do some tiling with premade patterns there. -
There is Grid2, by sepo, found in the Plugins Index, the red button at the top of this page. There is Grid at Ruby Library Depot, an excellent site, maintained by Didier Bur. Did not see one at Smustard.
