Rat Bird
-
I found a great painting by Christian Pearce called Rat Bird and decided to model it. In fact I did an entire tutorial from start to finish you can now view in the latest edition of CatchUp. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=40809
And who knows, if I get the time I might render this beast as well.

Eric. . .Thanks for the Tut in The CatchUP. Awesome Model. If ever I get a call to incorporate WWII era aircraft in any of my projects, I will be sure to use your methods. **Honestly . .where do you guys find the time? Yes.. . I am jealous.**

I got a message from Christian Pearce, the artist whose painting I modeled this plane after. He likes it very much and is now learning SketchUp. Maybe we will see his work here soon.

In fact, I prefer the SU model than the original concept. On the original one there's some inconsistency on shading. Repeated same tonal solutions that don't represent the volumes well. A UV editor could add a lot on this fine model.
