[REQ] Store and Paste text strings

When creating groups, components, layers names, leader text, colors, etc., there can be a need for consistency in naming.
It would nice if there could be a way to a recall a text/numeric string(s) so it could be pasted into a dialog box, other than from the clipboard.
Also, could a short-cut key be used to active the script after the dialog is opened?
