beautiful... do you know? were the gutter system supports part of the initial design or secondary "fix the issue" type thing? aesthetically they are very pleasing.
it's almost as if you're doing restoration work... bringing back to life what was lost. great work as usual.
-
Did you intentionally edit out the lightning rod? And was it part of the original design? Possibly even custom manufactured just for that building?
-
Hello Roger, I'm not sure that it's a lightning rod or just for decoration! These models are based on the original plans and most of the houses where either altered during building/construction or in later years.

Hello Kristoff, I replied to you before replying to Roger but it's dissapeared again, sorry!. I think the gutter brackets are more for aesthetic quality rarther than practicallity, they appear on several of Voysey's buildings.

Super, John. And I love how you post up progress images.
-
... just beautiful! (& inspiring)

I'd no idea that Voysey was such a prolific architectural designer. My other half and myself are fans of other items he's had a hand in, so it's great to see all the new work.
As always, a really good model and rendering. I don't know how you make these so quickly, your post work is great.
So, any plans to do Little Moreton Hall or maybe Cragside?
-
Tahnk you Lee & emerald15.
Jeff, I've looked at both those buildings many times, infact TIG suggested Cragside a long time ago. I really don't think I could model either from Photographs alone, but I'd jump at the chance if I could find an elevation drawing.
