I was just out shooting last night. This is some of what I came back with. By the way, I was specifically shooting this area of town, even though it is not necessarily the most exciting part of town at night. But it has some nice moments.
quick link to the whole set

      A few of the best:

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Extraterrestrials, from Boofredlay's Flying Saucer, are standing just off-camera, holding them hostage 💚

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

A dead town? Welcome to America! We don't believe in walking on the streets.

That is actually what the photos are for - a proposed re-design to help entice people out into this under-used space. So maybe in 10 years I can take these photos again and have lots of people on the street.

Oh, and also, the exposure is so long that any people that do wander through the shot don't show up. I think there are actually people in the 2nd to last one, with the railroad tracks.

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Great photos, the 2nd one is especially good. Sold my SLR a few years ago and there's not a week goes by where I don't regret it. 😞

Your photos inspire me to get out there at night and do some shooting of my own.I like the star effect on the lights. I the effect obtained by using a filter or the effect of the lens aperture? The star effect, I fell, adds life
and warmth to your photos. Thanks for sharing. Bob

Thanks Bob! It is always fun to get out and shoot.

The star effect is in fact from the shutter, not a filter. That was something I was practicing that night, so I'm glad you noticed. Thanks for taking the time to look,

                    Chris
