I thought I had started a thread like this earlier, but I can't find it...

There are so many licenses for distributing software, can anyone recommend one over the other?

I'd like to make a few of my plugins available on BitBucket.

Do you mean like the GNU public license? Does BitBucket have a licensing policy? Perhaps look at Sourceforge? Am I missing your meaning?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

Something like that. But there are so many alternatives - I just don't know how to pick one over the other. And I also find that most are so verbose and long-winded.

For the projects? No. I just want to open up some of the plugins for collaboration.

We did discuss licenses in this thread: SKX Project? Win32::API ?

Where I posted the link to the Artistic 2.0 license.
