Mindblowing. The sheer volume of amazing renders you are pumping out is crazy.

I have a lot of questions... First and foremost, where do you get all those plants?? I really need a lot of good tropical plants for my models and am not sure which service to look at. What about other components? How much of that is modeled froms cratch and how much are parts you find? Is that all modeled in sketchup? What plugins are you using?

I really need those plants, I appreciate your help. The level of detail is amazing, how long have you been 3d modeling to get to that level?

Patrick the plants are most likely a mix of Evermotion - http://www.evermotion.org/modelshop/show_product/archmodels-vol-61/48/0/0/ and Artlantis. They are very high poly and wouldn't work in sketchup without some serious polyreduction. They are most likely placed in Artlantis Studio. Some prior renders contain plants that come with Lumion.

Would they cripple a model/render times? Right now I can render a nice sized model with hundreds of 2d plants in under a minute on this new machine. If it took 15-20 minutes to render a more complex scene with 3d plants that's manageable. I'm more interested in 3d groundcover/shrubs

Yeah, hundreds of 2D plants equals only a quarter of the polygon strain of one evermotion plant. You also have the issue of conversion. If you buy the collection, they come as .max files or .obj. (Download the sample file and check) I just tried to bring the .obj sample file into sketchup with TIG's .obj importer and after 5 minutes, it's still calculating. Perhaps something like mootools or deep exploration could do the conversion and poly reduction in order to get it into sketchup, but the load on the program would be intense. Xfrog has a 3D groundcover collection that is a little lower on the polygon count side, but should still be used in a limited fashion in sketchup. - http://xfrog.com/product/X-09.html

And apologies to Nacho for taking his thread off topic. Beautiful works as always.

the lake part of the basball park project

thanx earthmover for answer the question, and yes most of our plants are from evermotion, and its impossible to use it in sketchup.
we model a base project in sketchup (most of the architecture part) and then in artlantis (or vue, or lumion, or 3d max (for octane) or shotpro,) insert the plants, trees, palms, furniture, texture it and etc...

You have really cool renders, the architecture and the sceenery look great, but in a lot of your pictures, the cars and the people stand out to much, they are different style, and that spoils the overall impression for me. I suggest you use less reflection on your car materials, and try to opt for photoshop people, or 3d, not both in the same scene. Architecture is really nice to look at 😄

                cheers 😄

                Cheers, Andrija

I swear a couple of those look incredibly similar to a project I worked on in Culver City, California. Any chance that's where the bridge is? Probably not, but I thought I'd ask anyhow.

                                          hi tomot,
it pretty easy make single tile, convert it to component and repeat it, make a group and repeat it.
not much work... take it easy with the object faces, cuz can overload your model and crash your render engine.
