A bit further along now, with the exteriors (of the capital only) nearly finished aside from all the residential buildings and about half the community buildings are only about 50% done (not shown). This is just a "basic feel" picture to let some Tolkien fans know what my interpretation is thus far and what is (quite obviously) yet to come.

As far as the render quality being awful, you have my apologies: I literally just positioned the sun and hit [render]. I'll make "real" renders later when more is done. Anyone have any suggestion on anything?

Thanks Bryan, it's really coming along since I started working on pieces individually and doing some of the other stuff you said to try. I'm working on the palace interior spaces now and probably will be for quite a while, but then again I tend to jump around between bits of a project and with this one it's quite difficult to get bored. Thanks for helping me continue on.

            Glad to hear it!

Yeah, it's a very different workflow and took me some time to understand and use before I got comfortable with it, but it really does make a difference.
