Downloading images on a Google Images search page in one go
-
Is there a way to download all the images google images search shows up on one page [in basic version]. For example if I'm searching "Apollo 11 Mission", the search shows up a lot of results. I want to download all the images that Google is showing on page 1. The normal way is to go to each image and download it one by one. Is there a way to download all the images on page 1 in one go?

First
you can press the little text on the left for select image only by subject (it's a new feature !
then
For all the images in your favorite Navigator : just Files / Save As/ "All the Web page" and you will have all the images inside your computer
Then research where you have saved that and inside a folder you will find all your images
In this case it will named "search_fichiers" following your languageIf you want all the thousand images, Press the "more result button" and make the same save as etc...

Pilou, that will (probably) save all the thumbnails Google generates on the image search page. What I guess is that Rock1 would want to save the original (size) images.
There are some download managers that can do this (I do not use them so do not ask). They are searching for the url in the href code for the original (although with the new Google search, that is still an iFrame and you only find the original image inside that iFrame but this is just making it more difficult for a download manager, not impossible).
Search for download managers and see what they can do.

I personally use the "DownThemAll" plug-in for firefox, it usually works fine, However, I have never tested it within a Google search ... google usually provides links to the webpages and not to the images themselves ...

I have made a strict answer
