Navigation Frames & Sessions?

I was going to make a cross-browser SketchUp API bookmarks "sidebar" using framesets, and found out that when the target frame is loaded, I was no longer logged in to Google. Anyone know what's happening?
See image. The page has 2 frames: left is a list of links to the API classes, which open in the right target frame. But every link that opens on the right says I'm no longer logged in.
Maybe frames are not the right way to do this, so how else could it be done?

Hm. That's weird. Even Google uses frames here and there (well iFrames at least). The old SU Guide used to be a framed site, too (now already off). True you did not have to log in for that.

I guess it can not be done due to security reasons. It's not a big deal since I can open the bookmark as a Sidebar in FF, I just thought I could simulate the Sidebar across different browsers.
