I tried to find something new to say to tell you how great your work is. But I couldn't, so I'll just add a +1 to Pete's post.
-
Okay, John, it's time to come clean....your a professional who works at Industrial Light and Magic, aren't you?
-
Thank you lads, your too kind with your words at times. Daniel LOL your a million miles away with that statement! I'm a ceramic tiler by trade. A little over 3 yrs ago I wanted to build a bird shed so set about looking for a program to help. Stumbled upon Sketchup, having never used or seen a "cad" prog used, googled about for a little help and found this site; Was in awe of peoples work here, couldn't get Sketchup further than push pulling boxes so set about building my shed! Heres the good bit!! whilst building the shed, had an accident with the hoover tube so for the next 3 mths whilst layed up I played about with sketchup and became addicted... no known cure happily.
Regards John -
Another masterpiece. Well done!
-
Super, clean and nice, from 1-10 I am for 10.
-
Never tire of looking at yoru work, John.
And if you dont mind me saying so, you have a great 'SketchUp story' too!
-
Awesome as always.
Will you please get a job with National Geographic?
-
John,
Top modeling mate, nurse Gladys Emannuelles Morris parked out the front would top it off Love it.
-
Another great model. What renderer do you use by the way?
-
Thank you all. Bryan, that sounds good, dream job. SEKTA, when nurse Gladys begins to look attractive it's a sign of old age,
Gawd I'm old, shes not too bad! samo8076, I'm using V-ray, although most of the settings are beyond me at the moment.
regards John -
Dear John,
I've got to ask. Accident with the Hoover tube!!! Isn't that the kind of story they hear in A&E?

Always a pleasure to view your models!
Best wishes,

Thank you Mike.Bob, not as "exotic" as that, fell over the hoover tube and bust my ribs and shoulder, plus almost put my eye out! mind you if I'd fell over backwards I may have made the front page of The News Of The World lol
take care
John -
Did you ever manage to get the tutorial/how-to sorted? Or have I missed it somewhere?

It will in the next edition of Catchup.
-
Super, thanks, really looking forward to it.
-
hiiii !! good job just one question : how did u make the pavement division? did u use plugin for this ? thx
-
Great job John I enjoy watching Open All Hours on Gold! Always good for a l-l-l-laugh
Have you thought about doing Corrie St?
-
@ramy, the paving was made using the offset tool but it is easier to use TIG's Lattice Maker & then Thom's Cleanup ruby, two awsome ruby's.
@ Mike Lucey, Now that's scraping the bottom of the barrel
John -
very nice job here, like the two images.
