      Leave it to the end - won't distracting You from the modeling process, lighter file size to work with and at the end when start painting You will see the whole picture.

          I agree with dedmin on this. Concentrate on modeling first. After the model is complete, do the painting.

          When you do get to the point of adding materials, make sure you open the components and add the materials to the faces inside so you can control their orientation and position. And unless you have images of long sections of boards, don't use highly figured materials. They will look very artificial.

          I don't use little square materials like those included with SketchUp and I don't want seamless materials although many folks like seamless. My opinion is if you want seamless materials, use plastic. Real wood isn't seamless.

          You might find this to be of some use.

                      I think you did a great job with the table. It looks great.

                      Yes I did leave out the molding on the legs. I just wanted to get on with the joints. I`ll probably add it later.
