Distortion of SU file in LO using clipping masks

When I do a clipping mask, and want to enlarge the mask, and or move the image LO3 distorts the image, I have used LO extensively but do not recall this issue being a problem, maybe within the upgrade it happened.
any insights? -
I know red is a serious LO user, as am I. WOW! .... 3 months has passed ... still no answer. One would think the guy developing LO would stick his or her nose into this forum now and then, to see how the latest beta 3 version is working in the real world! I guess the 80,000 members of this forum is not enough to get his or her attention yet: thumbd:
