I was fortunate enough to be part of the beta team as well for Artisan. What can I say but wow. This is a cool tool indeed.

This was my first attempt with Artisan.

Boofredlay can you post a picture of the form you started with.

        Looking forward to Artisan [SDS2]

Lucky for you I saved some progress shots πŸ˜„
I have since learned that using quads as much as possible before subdividing yields the best results. However I am super happy with this result.

I did not save progress shots on the eyes but it was not too difficult. I will do a quick re-run of that. Stay tuned.

Ok, this took longer to note up than it did to draw πŸ˜„

How I did the eyes... (however there is a mirror brush tool that allowed me to smooth both eyes at once, not shown here).
Once the tool is available I might do a more refined tutorial on the eyes if someone wants it.

Oh man!!! I gotta get this. Oh and by the way, I like the fish. πŸ˜†

That soft brush tool just blew my mind out!!
Is that plugin already available or does it come along with SDS2?

Artisan is SDS2 and the smooth brush is part of the tool set. It will be available on Feb 28th.
You can read more about it here:

That's a great technique for the eyes, Eric! I'll have to hire you to create some cool tutorials for me. πŸ˜„

Does this brush has more than a simple mirror?
                        Radial symmetry for example ?
