DXF import plugin for free 7.1
-
Okay . . . so I consider myself computer literate, but for the life of me I can not find the plugin that imported dxf files into the free version of 7.1. I used to have it installed, and somewhere along the way I have apparently lost it.
Searches keep coming up with dead links or info in regard to the pro version, and I don"t remember the name of it. Seems to be removed from Google site as expected. I don"t mind running 7 & 8 just to keep this feature, but maybe I will have to download another peice of software to do the task.
Is there anywhere you can still download the plugin? I admit I am a male, and my wife could probably find it!
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks Jim
Maybe I am doing something wrong . . . but when I download that file, it appears to be an installer. When I run the installer the only two options are to "repair" an installation or "remove" an installation. I went ahead and ran the "repair" that replaces missing files etc., but don't seem to be getting anywhere.
Anyone else try running it?

Jim . . . I got it to work and I have no idea what I was doing wrong before. It now appears as an option when I import. Maybe I had not closed and re-opened sketchup or something simple like that. It's beyond me, not to mention why I used to be able to import and then I couldn't. You know what, I am just happy that now its there and works ha ha.
Losing my mind today!! Soooo many things i want to try with Sketchup and Twilight that my brain is fried from reading about everything.
Thanks again!
