Don't you just hate the current USD-Euro exchange rate?

Especially when you need to buy a license for an European software. 749€ becomes US$1,010 at today's rate... Oh, well. About a month ago the exchange rate was better but back then I didn't have the money.

I cannot remember what software it was (it was a US company though) but it even sucked more when it said it cost (say) $ 500 and they wanted to charge me € 500 (i.e. 1:1) because my IP is from Europe. I don't know where those guys are living. Surely it pissed me off so much that I did not buy.

Good for you Gaieus for not buying. That is just stupidity on their part. I can't imagine they don't understand exchange rates, so that leaves me to believe that they are just over charging because you live far away. Thats as bad as a "convenience fee".

Well, here SU is also sold in €. Currently for € 388. That is $ 524+ even according to Google Finance. How much do you guys get it for? $ 495 I think? So that's a rip-off again.

I've just checked out PixPlant and there is also a wrong exchange rate. But at least they allow me to select the currency!
