[Request] Zoom Window tool use the Active Axis
-
I was wondering if the Zoom Window tool could be tweeked.
Currently, when dragged, it conforms to the screen.
Could it, when holding down a modifier key (ie., the Shift key), conform to the current axis (default or user defined)?
It would be handy to have it correspond to drawing orientation used by the Line, Rectangle, etc., tools.

Hmm, so the tool would move the camera along an axis - either one of the standards or a user defined axis?
That would be do-able. I've got other plugins on my list, but maybe if no one tackles it, I can come back to it in a few months.

Yes, Chris. The idea being if your were, for instance, in a Top (plan) view, and some of the your model structures were on the diagonal, you'd change the axes to match those structures in order to draw/edit them. If you wanted to zoom in on a particular area of those structures on the diagonal, the Zoom Window tool would be able to drag a bounding box relative current axes to define the zoom window.
Otherwise, your forced to right-click on the user-defined axis, pick align view and then use the Zoom Window tool.
