If my router is set to 54g will that also limit the wired network to max 54Mbps?

At the moment I'm copying about 101GB from my network drive to a new backup drive on my computer. The NAS and my computer is wired, but the average speed Windows reports is ~5,3MBps (~42Mbps)

So what I wonder now is if disabling the WLAN while I make these large file transfers will speed up the process?
