Hey guys,
Just completed this personal work using a model by Stoosarchitekten on 3dallusions.com.
Textured in sketchup, rendered with Vray and post with PS.
I have a nightime version i'll post when i've finished it
Anyway C&C welcome as alwaysCheers

Hold on mate, this isn't a render...
Well maybe from the frosted glass I could tell it is a render...
...but it is all so perfect! How did you do that?congrats

this is awesome! loving everything about it except the glass on the balcony (only a minor crit prob would not have noticed if it wasnt mentioned). Any chance of a shot of the model and texture set up prior to the render? i lack on texture skills I woul dlove to see the raw stuff see how I can improve?
-
sweet render, very dramatic, love the materials. sketchup view please!
great grass, care to share??
i like your vignette, is it a color burn layer??love the green hue
-
damn! its amazing what happens when you take the time to texture... that's awesome stuff.

Very nice post work!!! The mood is just perfect. I've got a heavy duty pressure washer to clean those walls though. I guess it's a fine line between patina and just plain dirty.

Thanks for the comments guys the frosted glass could have been better I agree and i've altered the scale of the grass as mentioned.
The grass is done in PS overlayed over a heavily bumped grass texture to give me reference for the way the light falls. The vignette effect is done using the colour balance in PS, it could be done with a colour burn layer but I do it this way because it gives me way more control.
I've attached the night version and a little process image...enjoyCheers

Well I'm truly impressed by your texturing and post-pro!
I didn't quite understand your technique for positioning the grass overlay though
Could you explain this a bit more please?Fantastic images really! Thanks for sharing!
