He must have been working late. Just got this,

            *Hi Mike,

I've often been asked about that. Its actually an inbuilt zipper antenna .... no reception problems with my 'personal' equipment πŸ‘

...... Wow, this was a quick response ..... he must be getting great reception with that zipper antenna. This is what Steve advises.

                  *'Hi Mike,

I'd suggest that the best way to achieve max reception is to unfurl the zipper antenna and start waving it about. The more its unfurled the better. If you can get help with this, even better reception can be achieved.

Let me know how you get on.

Does he use one of those tight fitting rubbery cases for his zip antenna, and if so does he find the textured ones provide greater sensitivity in his reception?

..... this is what he says ....

                        *'Hi Mike,

This is tricky! Under normal reception I prefer to go 'natural' πŸ˜‰ but if I find myself outside of my normal reception area I would definitely use a protective rubber case in order not to damage the old zipper antenna.
