Sunflow?
-
Was running Linux the other day and trying to get OpenGL working properly for SU/WINE and came across Sunflow while looking for apps. There seems to have been a su2sf plugin, but ruby repository is down and there really doesn't seem to have been any development of the su2sf plugin beyond about a year ago, and the plugin still had issues. I was curious to know if there was a reason for this?
Is Sunflow simply not a good engine, or not worth pursuing the exporter for?

Disregard.
After digging around on the Sunflow forums it appears that the open source Sunflow project is dead as far as the original developer is concerned. There were some noises about the community taking over, but so far nothing new.

Hi,
Sunflow is a good renderer but I stopped the exporter plugin development because of the lack of documentation (model structure, syntax, etc) and because the renderer itself is not developped since 2007 or so. Too bad... -
Yes, too bad. It looked promising and was quite fast.
