The illustrations were produced in Xara Xtreme -- it is vector illustration like Adobe Illustrator CS5. So in effect they are rendered by drawing the old fashioned computer graphics way. There are lots of overlayed transparent objects used to build up the effects. I basically used SketchUp to produce 'clipart' for the illustrations.

Well, Ross, I don't think you've posted anything lately at all.

This one is really cool indeed. My first thought was also the fish but if they rotate slowly enough, no worries.
            ๐Ÿ˜„

And of course, the illustration part is definitely winning ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks for the positive comments. Makes me want to post something else. ๐Ÿ˜„

I use SketchUp frequently but sometimes it seems I never finish a model. I'm using it mostly to develop designs and test ideas. In that regard, I rarely need to finish a model because if the design idea looks like it will work I move on to the next task leaving lots of partially completed models to fill my hard drive.

                  Regards, Ross

Those are great! Tidal power is something we seem yet to harness, although it's been discussed and engineered as long ago as the 1930s.
