      I thought there was as script that (within a selection) combines contiguous, co-planer surfaces into one surface. I tried searching here but couldn't find anything.

      I am looking for a way to cleanup a series of terrains created via Sandbox's "From Contours" tool.

        That is ThomThom's cleanup script. I don't have the link right now, but his signature shouldh ave a link to all his plugins. Just track it down there, or search.
