i really hope you have a chance to share your methods....would be great. like rcossoli said, this is that digital art is all about... mixing methods and media to create a beautiful cohesive image. its even greater when you see the state of the raw render.

great stuff... def some of the best we've seen on here..

wow thanks, i also see it as a painting/rendering mix type thing, Mike Lucey has contacted me about a tutorial which i hope to have time for, so i do intend on sharing my methods. thanks again for the kind words
