Deleted from Warehouse

So you never at any point saved it to your hard drive? You always just open it from the warehouse and save it back to the warehouse directly?

Chris is saying Autosave files and and Backup files are 2 separate files. Look for the same filename ending in a
.skb
extension. Copy and rename it to end in.skp
and you should be good. -

Hi Nola,
Try to do what I suggested in the PM. It seems that it recovers deleted models even if tracking history is not checked. At least as I tested it... It will turn track history on and you can revert to the earlier version.
IF it is still on the server I guess.
BTW this whole thing came to my mind because I once experienced a bug in the WH and remembered that it reverts to older versions even if they are deleted.

For those who are interested...
- IF you still know the model ID (in this case
eb3e4ea22c5c3d3ca37f3fc191551700
as he posted the link here) - make a totally indifferent model (a rectangle will do)...
- set the model ID with Jim's plugin
- upload the model (when the details are already filled in, it is a good sign)
- under the model history, revert back to the earlier version...
I really hope it helps in this case, too. I tried and it worked for me. Who knows of course, how long the models are stored on the server or in the database...

It didn't show the earlier model under history...do you possibly have the model when you tried it? Can you email it to me?

No, I could not try with your MID because it did not let me (that would be your MID). This made me think it had to be somewhere there.

Ok, thanks. Well, i couldn't get it because i did not have model history set earlier...:/ But i got the description! XD Is there a way to do it w/o the history?
-
Well, in my test history tracking was NOT checked. That's why I thought you could get it back somehow. Maybe if earlier... Who knows?
Anyway, you re-made the model now...

Yeah, its just got some flaws. I can fix it though. Thanks a ton for the help, it was really nice to get some. Well, since the model is remade, i think this thread is officially dead. Thanks!
