You know, when I was in Vietnam, I have made a lot of Resort/Spa concept presentation, and I know how it's difficult to satisfy the clients, and especially in Asia...

This is a presentation that I have done 2 years ago for a resort on the Mekong delta coast, sketchup and a lot of PP. Maybe it can be useful in your research...

      Fred, nice presentation.

Like I mentioned, right now we are looking at concept, funding and environmental impact. I have tons of inspirational images to work off from Tahiti to Indonesia.
In a similar vein as your presentation elevations of all the different units will be included, renders of the 'clubhouse' facilities and a 2D site map will be included.
I do like the look of your overview, what software did you use for it? as I'd like to achieve a similar look, I was planning on a colored pencil look, but yours looks a lot cleaner.

        Thanks Pete,
I have done the main models with Sketchup v6 and then, exported as 2d images in Black and White.
After that all the post production was made by a very good Vietnamese from the office, He used Illustrator and Corel draw. And after all this PP, Photoshop for the final layout.
I know that the coloration of the central image was done with a pencil effect plugin in illustrator.

Nice ones Pete! I think these images'll appeal to both investors and environmentalists, the way the structures seamlessly fit into the surroundings... πŸ‘

                    Thanks guys.

@vidy, My work-flow involves SU (obviously) and then Vue for the vegetation and render, I then take the rendered image and over-paint using Corel painter 11.
Now if I want to do a line overlay then I set my view in SU and use the SU2Vue ruby and python scripts to match cameras.

@ultimatez, the line is standard SU line work with extension of 7 and depth of 3, I darkened it in PS (paint-shop)

                          Cheers guys.

Here is another mixed media, this is more of an environmental illustration, the idea is to show the impact and placement of clubhouse.

Yeah I like this last one a lot Pete, for me the others just keep a tad too much realism from the underlying render.

Personally I'm not a lover of faded edges (second to bloom) given the effect when more than one image is presented on a page, can tend to look a bit repetative!
