let me guess....you're a big pink floyd fan....you really seem to like their comforatably numb song and that song might have played in your head when you were seeing one of your patients

I thought you were kidding... sorry.

I am not that big Pink Floyd fan, but there was a period in my life when I was totally absorbed by their music.
Comfortably Numb is not only a great song - it is also the title of C. BarberΒ΄s intriguing book published in 2008.

But the reason I chose it was much more prosaic... πŸ˜„

              Comfortably numb...

                very professional looking, well done.

its funny how you don't exactly design buildings when doing a course in architecture!! (at first anyway) I remember making models of my feelings! and thinking "how the hell does this relate to architecture?!" but it all comes together in the end.

                like the grayscale/colour guitar idea.

I don't agree. I think it is closer to a talented high school design.

actually we had this subject arts and graphics in our second year.. where we're taught sketching, playing with colours, given knowledge about textures, environment observation, trees, landscapes and lot of other stuff πŸ˜„ we don't have this subject in third year..

totally self taught - the rock god bit was me being facetious - only play for fun. It takes way too much time to be good at guitar - I'm trying my best to get good at modelling and rendering so the guitar is taking a back seat at the minute.

i see.. so at what age did you start playing the guitar?? you started with acoustic na??:) and have you undergone any formal training in rendering techniques in sketchup i.e. twilight, podium, any courses out there??

Started playing in my early 20's on acoustic. No formal training in rendering - the guys here on this (and the rendering engine) forums will do all they can to help you (if you want help). There is an answer to be found as everyone goes through the learning curves and they all know that they had to start somewhere and are brilliant at giving advice to anyone who asks. So my advice is - ASK PLENTY OF QUESTIONS!!
