Is there a way to get the music off of youtube or a site to download these songs (preferably free)?

Yes, you can. Download the sound editor, Audacity. Then just use the record button. there are several ways to record off your computer. The way I used to do it waas to plug one end of an audio cable into the the speaker output and one end into the mic. input. Another way is to set the recording settings to Line In.
